I have been using computers to create music since 1991, beginning with Cakewalk for DOS. Even though I've always been able to hear complete arrangements in my head, being able to bring ideas into a form where others can hear it (although never as good as real musicians playing the parts) is way cool. What I'm able to do these days with exceptional virtual instruments (like those from EWQL) is even more thrilling. My current DAW is SONAR.
